Focus Verses: Genesis 1:22, 28a

And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. … And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: …

Genesis 1:22, 28a KJV

God blesses His creation and commands multiplication.  He created, divided, added, moved, placed and now He is ready for all that He has declared good to multiply.  Notice the Bible says He blessed them saying, “multiply”.  He wants us to be blessed in this life.  Things shift and change.  New things come into our lives.  Sometimes we feel like new things are burdens.  He doesn’t intend for us to feel that way.  He wants exponential growth to be a blessing to us.  Trust that what He is adding or asking you to add is a blessing.  Remember that He has given us an escape from heavy burdens. That’s part of the blessing!

Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2 KJV

Sometimes it isn’t the season for multiplication but remember that while things may be dividing around you or shifting, the multiplying blessings are coming!  God’s creation model is a type of our lives.  We see it replayed in each day, week, month, year.  We see it as an overall model of the entirety of our lives.  The Word is living.  From the first chapter, we are given an outline of the way God creates not only physically but in every facet of His creation. For eternity; knowing the end from the beginning, filling emptiness with purpose, darkness to light, addition, division, multiplication.

Our God is the God of order.  If He’s done it before, there is no doubt He can and will do it again.  The creation pattern works throughout His Word and throughout our lives.  Watch and pray.  You will be able to recognize what part comes next.  You may not know when or how but you will know it’s coming.  Leave the details to God and trust that He will place each part exactly where it needs to be placed in order for everything to work perfectly every time.

Prayer Focus

Seek the ability to be in tune with Jesus in a way that allows you to take comfort in the place you are right now, while being ready for the next step.  Ask Him to give you His yoke because His burden is light.  Ask Him to reveal to you an opportunity to carry someones burden for them in order to relieve something that may be overwhelming them.  Ask Him to help you remember the importance of every step of creation so that while He is creating in you, you may be thankful for the day you are in right now.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content.  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:11-13 KJV

God’s already made a way, whether you’re the one He’s made a way for, or whether you are the way for someone else.

Cindy Rose

You can handle whatever you are facing today.  You have the strength of the Creator of everything within you.  He’s already made a way, whether you’re the one He’s made a way for, or whether you are the way for someone else.  Embrace your position and take ownership and joy in what He has in store.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV
