“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:13

Have you ever been going through a trial or a time of discouragement and just stretched out your hand to the Lord, asking Him for help and strength?  I often form a mental picture of Him holding my right hand and guiding me through whatever is happening in my life.

One of our biggest enemies is fear.  We tend to think of things that are looming up in our future and wondering how we are going to face them.  But, if we could only remember, that the Lord is always there for us, holding our right hand and with His gentle voice telling us to fear not.

Recently when facing something that would be coming the next day, I went to my Devotional book, and read these words: “Do not be anxious concerning tomorrow.  You shall encounter nothing of which I am not already aware. My mercy is concealed within every storm cloud. My grace flows beneath every circumstance.” (Come away My Beloved, Frances J. Roberts).

How wonderful to know that Jesus already knows what tomorrow will bring, and He has His plan in place to work all things together for our good.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, we do not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know that you are holding our hand and telling us not to fear.
