“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.”

Psalms 91:14

This world understands very little of what unconditional love really is. We can allow hurt and unforgiveness to change how we feel about a person. Bitterness and resentment can cloud a once clear mind, and make you act unreasonably and unfairly. I am so glad that God loves me unconditionally. Nothing can separate me from His love, absolutely nothing. No matter the mistake, His love never changes.

Do I love Him the same though? Do unanswered prayers affect how I feel toward my Savior? Is our relationship strictly take, instead of give and take? Do I expect every prayer to be answered in a timely manner before I thank Him and give Him the praise He deserves? Sometimes we need to ask the tough questions, the ones that humble us and sometimes make us realize our priorities may be a little off.

Our love will never be perfect, not until we reach the gates of heaven, but we can sure try our absolute best on this earth. If we love Him He will rescue us, and if we trust in His name He will protect us. Sounds pretty simple right? We humans have a tendency to make things more complicated than they need to be though, so we struggle with this from time to time. Let’s make a choice today, as empowered women of God to check our priorities, and to trust only in His name – Jesus!

I am thankful for Your love today God. It reaches farther than the ocean and is more vast than all of the galaxies of stars combined. You are my Savior, and I always want to keep you number one in my life. Help me to stay faithful today, and to trust only in Your name Jesus.
