“I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick:” Ezekiel 34:16

Bible reading this month has been in the Book of Ezekiel. It is rather difficult reading and there is so much of it that is hard to understand. God is dealing with judgment on the nation of Israel and on other nations.

But here and there a verse stands out and speaks to our hearts in a special way, like this one in Chapter 34. I have loved ones who have wandered away from the Lord, and for whom I pray daily, believing that God is going to restore them.

In the NLT, this reads: “I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak.” I know this verse refers to the nation of Israel particularly, but we can also claim it as a promise from God that He will bring our loved ones back into His fold, and restore them.

Prayer: Lord, we bring our lost loved ones to you once again, believing that You are going to restore them to the fold.
