“Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you” (II Corinthians 13:11 in the New Living Translation of the Holy Bible). There is no feeling quite like giving or receiving encouragement. One of the positive aspects of social networking is the ability to build others up with honest, heartfelt encouragement at the click of a button. Spreading hope and joy is contagious! So, look for the good in others and celebrate life’s sweet moments together. I challenge you to take time today to make a call, write a note or stop by to say, “I think you’re wonderful!” I guarantee you will both feel happy.
Pray: Jesus, direct my thoughts toward someone who needs an encouraging word. Use me to uplift their spirit today. The more I give out of the abundance of my heart, the more love and peace You pour into my life. Thank You for the opportunity to share this joy I have with others. Amen.
