I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,” Isaiah 61:10

Have you ever gone to a gathering and realized that you should have worn something different? Maybe everyone else is in casual clothes, and you have dressed up, or the other way around, you decided to dress casually, and everyone else has on their Sunday best. Did you feel intimidated about it, or did you just accept that there was nothing you could do, but make the best of it?

I love this verse that tells us we can rejoice, because the Lord has clothed us in His garment of salvation, and put on us His robe of righteousness. Each of us is unique, and the garment He has chosen for me may be much different than yours. He looks at each of us as individuals, and knows exactly what we need to be ready for Heaven. He took away the old garments of sin and unrighteousness and clothed us anew. We have no need to compare ourselves with others, just yield ourselves to the Lord and rejoice in what He has done in our lives.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the beautiful garments that you have clothed us in, help us to keep them pure and holy and ready for your return.
