“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91:4 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
Reading this verse in my morning devotion helped me realize that He’s got you and me covered. It’s wonderful to know that when there is imminent danger He takes over.
Parent birds protect their young by lifting their wings to allow their little ones to find shelter from birds of prey. By natural instinct she not only keeps her chicks safe, but cherishes them and keeps them warm under her wings.
God has promised us shelter in the time of storm. He is our refuge. Don’t worry, He’s got you covered!
Prayer: Lord, I am vulnerable to the elements around me and I need Your divine protection to cover me.
