Praying Woman“Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplication; in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.”  (Psalm 143:1 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)

Summer is almost over.  School will be back in session soon.  Back to school schedules return.  No more sleeping in.  With school comes studying and tests to see if you have grasped the material the teacher has covered.

When I went to school, the teacher had what was called “the answer key.”  I called a teacher to see if that was still true and she said it was.  The answer key has the answers to the test.  David, the writer of our devotional verse, knew where to go to get the right answer.

In this passage David was lamenting the rebellion of his son Absalom.  His answer was found in prayer to His God who had always been faithful.

This week in our ladies prayer meeting we heard a wonderful testimony of a mother who had been estranged from her son for 30 years because of an ugly divorce.  They had a wonderful reunion because of prayer!

Jesus is still the answer!  Ladies, keep praying and believing!

Prayer:  Lord, You are still the answer!  Regardless of our need, You are listening when we call.  If we had all the answers we wouldn’t need You, Jesus.  I’m so glad we have the answer key for any situation.  Amen!
