“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)

When you have studied the facts for a test in school and you understand it, the test is easy. Knowledge is powerful!
Recently, we were discussing a family situation with one of our daughters and I quoted this scripture. The situation didn’t seem fair, but I told her that either the Word of God was true or it wasn’t. I made the statement, “I choose to believe His Word which says, All things work together for good…” We know what the Bible says but we often forget what we know.

People often get in the way of what is right and do the wrong thing. God has a way of turning the wrong that was done to good for those who are called according to his purpose.

The Bible doesn’t say that all things shall work for good; it says all things work now on behalf of the ones who love God now. Both verbs are in the present tense.

It’s really that simple. We have nothing to fear. God is at work in every situation that comes our way and it will turn out for good because we love Him!

Prayer: Today I am so glad that I know You, Lord, and that I can be confident that You are working on my behalf whatever comes my way. Amen.
