“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
Living as a Christian in a secular workplace can prove to be quite difficult. Talking about the Lord throughout the day to your colleagues would be amazing but seldom happens. In some cases, encouraging religion is frowned upon. This is the situation that I have found myself in. What I have come to realize is that we do not always have to vocalize our love for God. As long as we are living for Him to the best of our ability, His light will shine through our actions. The people around us will inevitably see Him in us.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be the best example of a Christian. Shine through me as I go into my workplace, and use me in whatever way You choose. In Jesus name, Amen.
