“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3

When we first wake in the morning, it is easy to start thinking about what day it is and what we must do or face. Those thoughts sometimes lead us to worry about how we will be able to cope.

But if the first thing we do is thank Jesus for keeping us through the night, and ask His guidance for the day, we will feel His presence surround us. We realize that no matter what the day may hold He is with us and together we can face whatever comes.

His presence in the morning gives us the confidence and peace that will go with us throughout the day.

Prayer: Jesus, I give this day into your keeping, guide and direct every step I take.

  1. Praise the Lord! Amen! I have found in my own ask with the Lord, that prayer sets the presidence for everything else, when down on my knees I start out that way! Whenever I don’t seek his face first, my day is all out of whack!
