Psalms 13:5 NLT “But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.” My two year old daughter has recently learned the power of yelling “help” when she needs me. As a mother, my first instinct when I hear her desperate plea, is panic. The…

“And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four” Mark 2:3 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).

I recently read a book entitled, “When I Lay My Isaac Down: Unshakable Faith in Unthinkable Circumstances” by Carol Kent. Carol and her husband, Gene, have only one son, J.P., who is serving a life sentence without parole for killing a man at gun point outside a restaurant in Orlando, Florida. Their journey through this unthinkable circumstance has not shaken their faith in God. Carol refers to the friends who helped her as “stretcher bearers.” She wrote, “We will all wind up on the stretcher at some point in life.” The unexpected happens to all putting us at the mercy of others. Thank You, Lord, for my friends!

Prayer: Jesus, please help me to be a stretcher bearer for those who are in need of assistance. It may be that I am next to need someone to lift me up and carry me to You!

Have you ever felt alone or forsaken? Maybe, you are the only emotional, physical and financial resource for your household. If you don’t kiss the hurt knee, it won’t be comforted. If you don’t clean the house, it will stay dirty. If you don’t pay the rent, you will all be living on the street. There is someone who wants to help you.

READ: Hebrews 13:5-6, from the Holy Bible, King James Version.

“I (the Lord) will never leave thee, nor forsake thee…The Lord is my helper…”

The Lord Jesus Christ wants to help you. But He is a gentlemen, He will only go where He is invited. Will you invite Him into your life today?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I invite you into my loneliness and daily struggles. Quiet my mind. Comfort my spirit. Provide for me and my family. Create in me a desire to know you better. Show me today, in a tangible way, that you never leave me.
