“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families.” (Psalm 68:5-6, NKJV). More than once I’ve heard an acquaintance declare he would be happy to live as a hermit. He enjoys spending time alone out in the country—a great…
And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation. Hebrews 5:9 Because Jesus was perfect and without sin, I oftentimes forget that He did not live a perfect life. There was nothing perfect about His low income home, the betrayal of…
“I lie awake; I am like a lonely sparrow on the housetop.” (Psalm 102:7, ESV) Today, July 11, is “Cheer Up the Lonely Day.” I’ll admit I had not heard of this observance until I read about it in a magazine. I did a little research, and yes, there is…
“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?” (Matthew 18:12, New King James Version). Jesus often spoke in parables, stories or word pictures…
Life Reference: John 11:1-44 Focus Verse: “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby” (John 11:4). Have you ever cried out, “Where are You God? I need You now!” This is what happened with Mary and…
“Lord, You have examined me and know all about me. You know my thoughts before I think them. You know where I go and where I lie down. You know thoroughly everything I do. Lord, even before I say a word, You know it” Psalm 139: 1-4 New Century Version
Even when nobody else knows, God knows. When you’re hurting, God knows.
When you’re lonely, God knows. When you’re afraid, God knows.
God knows what you are going to say, before you say it.
He knows. He cares. He’s waiting right now for you to talk to Him. Share your heart with Him. Tell Him your dreams. Tell Him your fears. He understands how you feel. He wanted you to know that.
Prayer: All Knowing God, I’m glad you know all about me and love me anyway. Teach me to share my deepest feelings with You.
