“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
We’ve heard this verse many times and possibly can even quote it, but have you stopped and really read this verse? Jesus went to the cross and endured the ridicule and pain for us. He could have called down angels to save Himself, but He did it all so we could be saved and healed.
The last part of this verse says, “… and with his stripes we are healed.” There is so much power in those 7 words! Jesus took the stripes upon His back for our healing. We are given a promise for healing; let’s believe it because God keeps His promises!
Pray this verse and claim your healing today.
Prayer: Dear Lord, Your Word promises that we have healing through the stripes You took upon Your body. I claim that healing right now in Jesus Name! Amen.
