“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” Psalm 119:11

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

This has been an interesting week, as I stepped out of my comfort zone and shared experiences in my life and how the Word of God was there to guide and inspire me. There are many more that I could share, but I pray that the Lord has used these to be a blessing and inspiration to those of you who have read them.

Daily Bible reading is essential if we desire to serve God fully. I like to read the entire Bible every year. I know some parts are harder to read than others, and we may wonder why they are included. But we are told that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is for our benefit.

Often when we are reading, a verse will jump out at us, and we make note of it. It may not be something we need right at the time, but the Lord is giving it to us for something we may face later. A few months before my husband passed away, I was impressed by the following verse.

Psalms 20:1-2 “The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;”

There are times when we may not feel like praying, and that is when we depend on the prayers of our church family to hold us up.

When we are going through a trial or test, the Lord will bring to our remembrance a scripture we have read or heard quoted in a message. That is why it is so important to have the Word of God hidden in our hearts.

I am so thankful for the Word of God and the blessing it has been in my life. Because I know the author, His Word is precious to me.

We have been singing a chorus lately that keeps going over and over in my mind.

“All my life you have been faithful,

All my life, you have been so, so good.

With every breath that I am able

I will sing of the goodness of God.”

Thank you all for reading this week, and I pray that the Lord will bless each of you. No matter what you are facing in life, the answer is in the Word of God.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20-21
