Psalm 15:1 A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Psalm 15:2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Psalm 15:3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

Psalm 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

Psalm 15:5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

This Psalm of David seemed like a fitting scripture to end our week of looking into our hearts and letting God show us what needed cleaning. I pray that everyone of us has found something we can relate to and that our spiritual house is cleaner and stronger because of it.

We have sought God’s direction and reduced clutter in our lives. Today we start a new week with clean hands and a pure heart. I hope you all have enjoyed reading it as much as I have writing it.

We can be sure that the enemy will bring things our way to keep us from staying clean and pure before the Lord. We must constantly be on our guard, and not forget our daily maintenance of prayer, Bible reading, and praise. We can stand on the promise that God has given us in:

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

When I was in Bible College (many years ago) we used to sing a chorus, which I often find myself singing in my mind. I tried to find the lyrics but was unable to, so hope I am remembering the words correctly. In closing, I would like to use it as our prayer.

Clothe me now in linen, white and shining,

Anoint me with Thy precious healing oil.

Loose my tongue and use it for a witness.

Claim my hands for Thy dear kingdom’s toil

Touch my lips with coals from off thine altar,

Wash me in Thine all atoning blood.

Purge away all dross blessed Holy Spirit,

Prepare me for the coming of the Lord.
