Praising the Lord at all times is sometimes difficult.
Have you ever felt cheated? I have. There are several times in my life that I felt like I deserved better, or deserved a life without pain. Even right now, as I’m writing this, my family is going though something devastating. My heart is overwhelmed and I’m grieved in my spirit. I ask God, why? Why is this happening? What is Your purpose in this pain? Why can’t I catch a break?
I am not trying to bring the moral of this devotion down; I’m just a woman in desperate need of God to intervene in her life once again. Life is a constant pursuit of growing closer with the Lord; sometimes it’s soaring like eagles — sometimes it’s going through fiery trials.
I have learned that when God does not change my situation, He oftentimes wants to change me. Change is so difficult, though.
Some problems are ordained by God.
Think of Job’s loss, Joseph’s betrayal, Jonah being swallowed by a whale, and Hannah’s barrenness.
Each story is implicitly different, and yet, there is a common thread. God proved His power, sovereignty, and provision in every life.
Life without pain can be dangerous. Pain gifts us with an important warning of injury, disease or danger. Feeling pain, whether it is physical or emotional, can save us from further injury, if we are aware and willing to change and seek God’s help.
Even though I’m going through a painful situation in my life right now, my spirit is strong and my heart whispers, “I trust You, Lord.”
Maybe you’re soaring like an eagle right now, or maybe you’re enduring a fiery trial—but in both situations, God has not changed. God is still on the throne and He has complete control. He is touched by the feeling of our infirmities and in our suffering, we fellowship with Him. As difficult as it may be, try to praise God through the pain. He will carry you.

I’m so thankful Or these devotions coming to my email every day. And the ones this week are touching my heart, exactly meeting me where I am at this season.
So thankful for a God who is always with me. He has never failed to help in times of hardship, loss or weariness.

Love how we can freely share that as women of God we struggle as well, and we know that even though we have no current answer to our situation that the Lord has a purpose for Good. I have suffered loss after loss in 2022 and now i am just waiting on the Lord to show me the rest of the big plan. it hasn’t been easy and it’s still not. But God has proven to always be good and faithful no matter what i have gone through He has not let me deal with it alone. Praying His plan is soon revealed and I unite with you in rejoicing for He has prepared something grand and great. Blessing.
