And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually, 2 Samuel 9:7.

What a picture of Christ we see through David at this moment. King David is extending restoration and He is restoring Mephibosheth’s inheritance. And, instead of killing the bloodline of the previous King, he blesses him. Every single one of us have been born into sin, but there is a God who is searching the whole earth right now for an opportunity to restore a soul. Jesus is knocking on the door of our hearts, waiting for an opportunity to commune with us.

Today, I want you to know that there is a place for you at the King’s Table. If you feel like an outcast, I want you to know that you belong. If you feel unlovable today, I want you to know that you are loved.

There is a place for you at the King’s Table.

I can’t give you the reasons why certain things happened in your life and I can’t even tell you that it was the will of God. Abuse is not the will of God, for instance. God has given every single one of us the power of choice; the power to do good or the power to do evil. I have stepped outside of the will of God countless times and I have done many things I am not proud of. He has given us a will, even when He has a perfect will for our lives.

Romans 8:28 states, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Notice how this scripture doesn’t say, ‘all things are good.” It says, “All things work together for good.” Even if you’ve been wounded and broken, God can take the broken pieces of your life and make something beautiful. He can restore the years that sickness, sadness, regret and/or shame has taken from you.

God has a beautiful table prepared for you.

Today, it doesn’t matter if you walk with a limp, it doesn’t matter how deep your sin goes, it doesn’t matter how dark your past is… there is a seat at the kings table for you.

Everything you need is at the kings table.

There is hope at the king’s table.

There is salvation at the king’s table.

There is healing and deliverance at the king’s table.
