Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6

Every meaningful friendship achieves its depth from sharing in one another’s failings, successes, dreams, and goals. It’s amazing how quickly relationships grow when people become vulnerable with one other.

To acquire intimacy with God, we need to be exposed in His presence. He desires truth in the inward parts. Your creator knows every detail of your life, but He desires for you to express to Him what you are feeling, what moves you to tears, and what your dreams are.

I’m going through a valley of grief while I learn how to navigate my relationship with my daddy, who has dementia. I honestly can’t hardly bring myself to pray about it because speaking things aloud breaks me all over again. But, every time I fall down at the feet of Jesus and cry out to Him, I am refreshed and strengthened. He carries me through the valley.

I’m reminded of that old song, Have a little talk with Jesus, tell Him all about your troubles, He will hear your faintest cry, He will answer by and by.”

So many times in a state of brokenness we want to hide from God, but your experience will prove that if you bring your pain to Him, then He will draw you closer to Himself. Share your heart with God today, you can trust Him.

Prayer: Lord, break down the walls I have built in my life. Help me to understand that you will never leave me or forsake me. Help me to know that you care more about my situation and life than I do. Teach me to know Your wisdom.

I lost my husband 9-1-2021 to stage 4 esophageal cancer (52 days from diagnosis to death). December 4, 2021 I found out I had breast cancer. December 24th I had to tell my grown kids that I had stage 4 breast cancer. Snow closed tge passes here in WA so I had to wait till they were opened and got to an oncologist 1-24-2022. Febuary 1st I had my first chemo infusion. The fight began. I am still fighting. I learned about these Devotions in late May and have written each and every one out in a journal, just finished my 2nd devotions journal today. It helps me focus each day and I keep my journals so I can read back when I need to. Thank you, Angela Overton and all the other contributers.
