“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8–9.

When Things Don’t Turn Out How You Expect

Have you ever prayed and felt like God was going to give you exactly what you wanted? Yeah. Me too.

I’ve been crushed. I cried out to God and said, “Why is this happening to me?” “What are You trying to do?” In those moments of hopelessness, I wipe away my tears and decide to speak faith into my situation.

Speaking Faith

Maybe you are facing a more serious situation in your life and you are not receiving the answers you desire. It can be difficult to put our worry, needs, marriage, children, job, home, etc., in God’s hands because we do not know what He is going to do to bring our answers to pass.

I wish I could see what He sees. There are times when God gives us a glimpse of His plan, but it’s often a little bit at a time. If you’ve cried some tears, that’s okay, we are human. But, don’t live in a state of hopelessness. Take time to pray scriptures out loud and speak faith into your situation.
