“There are ideas in our hearts, there are wishes, there are aspirations, there are groanings, there are sighings that the worlds knows nothing about; but God knows them. So words are not always necessary. When we cannot express our feelings except in wordless groanings, God knows exactly what is happening.” ~D. Martin Lloyd-Jones
How big is God? READ: Isaiah 40:12 from the Holy Bible, New Century Version: “(God) has measured the oceans in the palm of his hand…(God) has used His hand to measure the sky…(God) has used a bowl to measure all the dust of the earth…” If He could hold a tsunami in the palm of His hand, If He could measure a tornado by the distance between His thumb and forefinger, if one of His serving bowls could hold all of the sand on earth, then I’d say God’s Big Enough. Big Enough to pay your bills. Big Enough to heal your sickness. Big Enough to solve any problem in your life! How big is God? Big Enough!
Prayer: God, I thank-you that You are bigger than all my problems. I praise You that You are Big Enough to meet all my needs.
“Israel prevailed with God in wrestling with Him, and therefore it is that he prevails with men also. If so be that we will wrestle with God for a blessing, and prevail with Him, then we need not to fear but we shall wrestle the enemies out of it also.” ~ Alexander Henderson
“In every storm there is a ‘Peace! Be still.’ Christ will speak where prayer’s call invites Him (I Timothy 2:1-3)” ~ Jack Hayford
Do you feel weaker in God than you have in the past? Are there times in your life when your commitment to God was stronger? When you prayed more? When you read the Holy Bible more? When you attended church more? Trust in the Lord and you can be strong again. READ: Isaiah 40:31 from the Holy Bible New Century Version, “But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky. They will run and not need rest. They will walk and not become tired.”
Prayer: Dear God, I’m sorry I haven’t talked to You much lately. Please forgive me. Today, I recommit myself to You and to the teachings of the Holy Bible. I promise to attend church so that I can learn more about You. I want to trust in You so that I can become strong again. Amen.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:” (Psalm 139:23, Holy Bible, King James Version). My kitchen has a tools drawer where I can easily reach for a hammer, screwdriver, picture hangers, packing tape, thumbtacks, or other useful household items. I often have to search through twisty ties, expired batteries, and glue dried to find a tiny wrench. No matter how often I clean the drawer, there is always something to discard. Hearts have junk drawer filled with indifference, jealously, resentment, and envy. Periodic cleaning required. Today is a perfect day for heart search. The kitchen drawer can wait.
Prayer: Lord, shine Your searchlight on heart and remove everything not pleasing to you. Amen.

My God, my Father, while I stray Far from home, on life’s rough way, O teach me from my heart to say, “Thy will be done.” Though dark my path and sad my lot, Let me be still and murmur not; But breathe the prayer divinely taught, “Thy will be done.” What though in lonely grief I sigh For friends beloved no longer nigh, Submissive still, would I reply, “Thy will be done.” If thou shouldst call me to resign What most I prize-it ne’er was mine, I only yield Thee what was Thine; “Thy will be done.” If but my fainting heart be blest With thy sweet spirit for its guest, My God, to Thee I leave the rest; “Thy will be done.” Renew my will from day to day; Blend it with Thine, and take away All that now makes it hard to say, “Thy will be done.” -Charlotte Elliot
“Seek worthy companions. Attend church faithfully. Never fail daily to seek for help through prayer. And I promise you that the way will be easier and you shall have a composure of mind and a confident attitude toward life and the future. You shall be warned of dangers and shall be guided through the whisperings of the Holy Spirit.” ~A.Boyd
“A satisfying prayer life elevates and purifies every act of body and mind and integrates the entire personality into a single spiritual unit. In the long pull we pray only as well as we live.” -A. W. Tozer
