“Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.” Psalms 91:5-7 There are so many things to be afraid of. We can all list the more common fears, those being the dark, spiders, heights, germs, and so many more. Fear can paralyze us sometimes, causing our adrenaline to spike but our bodies to remain frozen.…

“So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.” Ruth 4:13 I love to read, and I like books that have a happy ending. Romance stories usually begin with two people meeting, getting to know one another, facing some difficulties along the way, and ending with them living happily ever after. The Book of Ruth does not fail us in this respect. The lonely stranger who followed the reapers to provide food for her and her mother-in-law now need no longer do so. She…

“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:15, ESV) One of my earliest childhood memories is of the little white country church that sat on a hill not far from our home. It’s been many years, and I was only a toddler, but in that memory, I see a tall (to me at least) man who stood behind a modest pulpit and preached the Word. My first pastor. I was blessed to have godly parents who faithfully attended church and instilled in me a love for God. I…

I now have a smartwatch. And may I add that sometimes it seems to be much smarter than I am! But I’m pleased to say I’m learning how to operate it somewhat efficiently. I rest (at a heart rate of 70bpm according to the smartwatch) in the hope that I will gain knowledge quickly while losing other unwanted things at the same pace. I have found out that when we awaken in the morning, we should be sure to sync the watch to the app on our phones. This will enable us to get the correct vitals and stats recorded…

“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:7-9 I recently heard a news story about some men who decided to steal from a Jewelry store and rather than trying to get in through the doors, they found another way. They entered an unlocked door of another…
