“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalms 37:23-24 KJV
Delighting in the law of the Lord, and walking in His way is no guarantee that everything in life will always be perfect. God allows the sun to shine on the just and the unjust, and He only promised that all things would work together for our good, not that everything would be good.
There will be times when we may stumble and fall, but the scripture tells us that we will not be utterly cast down. The Lord upholds us with His hand. Sometimes He allows us to be tested and tried, but one thing for sure, He never leaves us, He is always there to pick us up.
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for that assurance that you are always there, ready to pick us up and set us on our way rejoicing.
