“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 15:15 What a friend we have in Jesus All our sins and…

“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray” (Proverbs 12:26, New King James Version). Do you ever thank God for the wonderful friends He has placed in your life? I do. I realize that good friends enrich my life and encourage me…

I recently read a book entitled, “When I Lay My Isaac Down: Unshakable Faith in Unthinkable Circumstances” by Carol Kent. Carol and her husband, Gene, have only one son, J.P., who is serving a life sentence without parole for killing a man at gun point outside a restaurant in Orlando, Florida. Their journey through this unthinkable circumstance has not shaken their faith in God. Carol refers to the friends who helped her as “stretcher bearers.” She wrote, “We will all wind up on the stretcher at some point in life.” The unexpected happens to all putting us at the mercy of others. Thank You, Lord, for my friends!
Prayer: Jesus, please help me to be a stretcher bearer for those who are in need of assistance. It may be that I am next to need someone to lift me up and carry me to You!
