Did you know that bees sleep in flowers? They do. This sweet fact was shared with me recently by my friend, who discovered little bees taking naps in her sunflowers.
Our great Creator was meticulous when He created our amazing world. The attention to detail, the order in which Creation operates, and the fact that we get to witness His incredible design cannot help but lift our spirits and bring a smile.
Psalms 104:12 tells us that God designed trees so birds could live among the branches and sing.
Our Creator is wonderful! When next you hear birds happily singing outside your window, you can know that little bird’s purpose in life is to sing and make a happy melody to please his (or her) Creator and share their joyful song with us.
Psalm 65:8 in the Amplified Bible says, “You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.”
Think about the morning sun. It doesn’t just sneak up on us, but it’s as if it shouts with its rays that cover the skies, “Hello, I’m here. Time to rise and shine!”
And how about the sunset with all its beautiful colors: oranges, blues, pinks, and lavenders? What a divine design. It would seem as if the Master Artist is painting a scene so serene that we cannot help but find relaxation and rest at the close of each day.
I feel sure that if the Creator took such care to create a world so beautiful that we have the privilege to enjoy it, then we should take time to enjoy it.
If He made the effort to give us insight into what brings Him delight, then we should stop along our busy journey, pay attention to such delightful, intricate details and let them lift our spirits.
Psalm 19:1 states: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork.”
There is one more thing that brings God joy and pleasure, and that is enabling you to fulfill your purpose in Him.
“For it is not your strength, but it is God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to do work (that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose) for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13, Amplified Bible).
Don’t think for a minute that God is not for you. He rejoices over you joyfully and bursts out in song because of His great love for you.
“The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior Who saves! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in silent satisfaction and in His love, He will be silent and make no mention of past sins, or even recall them; He will exult over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17, Amplified Classic Bible.)
I get to be a part of what brings God joy. Now, that is something worth singing about!
