This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.”

1 Timothy 1:15

As I read through this chapter in 1 Timothy, I realized that as Paul preached the gospel, it was infused with his testimony. The Gospel and testimony seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Paul gave instructions to the people on how to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord, but he also told them how God had so mercifully saved him. Paul had done some pretty terrible things in his lifetime, especially to Christians, but he humbly reminds us that no one is too far gone from God.

Your testimony is vital to sharing the Gospel of Jesus. It’s one thing to tell of His love for us; it’s another thing to live out that love and love others as He does. It’s one thing to tell of His healing, but it’s another thing to show someone how He healed you and made you whole.

Your testimony has the power to change someone’s life. Live out your faith today and don’t be afraid to tell of all He has done for you!

Lord, lead me to someone today that I can share my testimony with and Your gospel. Help me to live out my faith, and to never be ashamed of Your gospel.
