Have you ever noticed how hard it is to change someone who has a made up mind? Call it stubborn if you want; a mind that’s made up simply cannot be changed. From a nasty prison cell, the Apostle Paul wrote this bold, made up mind statement in the Book of Romans 8:38-39,

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (King James Version of the Holy Bible).

The scenarios in this list have caused many people to give up and turn away from God. But, Paul went on record to let the church in Rome know that he had his mind made up. Nothing was able to separate him from God’s Love! Is your mind made up?

Prayer:  Lord, I’ve got my mind made up to live for You regardless. Though I walk through lonely valleys, You are with me. I’m not giving up. I’ll live for You come what may. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

  1. Thanks for this insight. Too often we think of unchangeable people as “stubborn,” a negative trait. Apostle Paul’s made-up mind is the example of good stubborness.
