Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:20

Mother’s Day. This could either be a day of celebration for you, or a day of mourning. A day to receive flowers, and sweet gifts from your husband and children, or a day when you realize what you have lost.. or what you have never had in the first place.

Perhaps your heart is aching today for the children you never got to hold in your arms, only in your belly. You could be struggling through today as you try to make sense of an infertility diagnosis. Or maybe your children have walked away from truth, and your relationship has taken a hit because of it.

Today could be many things for you, it is for me. But tell your heart to take courage, because He is always with you.

If you are celebrating today, He is with you.

If you are grieving, He is with you.

If you are confused, He is with you.

No matter what your situation is today, God is faithful and He is constant. Today is different for all of us, but God remains the same.

God, I pray that you would be with each and every lady reading this devotional today. Whatever their circumstance, I pray that they would be reminded that You are always near. You never change – whether they are facing heartbreak or joy.. you remain the same and are as close as the mention of your name.
