His Promises

“God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed. We have run to God for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us.”

Hebrews 6:18 CEV

I know like many others, I am in a season of uncertainty, and confusion, and have been experiencing a little bit of anxiety. I felt overwhelmed today as the deafening noise from the world bombarded my thoughts, and caused me to doubt for a moment.

I am so thankful that I can tell God my worries and fears. We can talk to Him when we are overwhelmed, a little frightened, and unsure of how to proceed. In these moments, we must be able to recognize that we need our Firm Foundation, our Solid Rock to ground us once again. The worries of life can easily distract us, and cause us to take our eyes off of Jesus. 

He is so willing to listen to every one of our cries. He sees every tear that falls and is never put off by our struggles. He is for us, He is with us, and He loves us.

Take the opportunity today to run to Him. Don’t hold back, lay it all at His feet. He can be trusted with your heart. He is God, and He will never break a single promise and will never go back on His word.
