clock-650753_640“But one thing is needful:  and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”  (Luke 11:1 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)

I heard something that made me stop and consider what love is really all about.  The question was asked, “How do children spell love?”  The answer was “TIME.”  And then they asked the question, “How does God spell love?”  The answer was “TIME.”

Immediately my mind went to the familiar story of Mary and Martha.  Mary took time for Jesus and Martha was just too busy to stop what she was doing.  Our devotional verse is written in red which indicates Jesus is speaking.

Yesterday was Grandparents Day. It was so nice to hear from all of our grandchildren.  Not one of them mentioned anything we had ever bought for them.

Children remember the fun times when you threw the ball to them and the walk you took in the park with them.  I would have to agree “TIME” really does spell love!

We’re all guilty of not spending enough “TIME” with Jesus.  You say you love Him, but never have time to be at His feet.  Stop right now and give Him some “TIME.”

Prayer:  Jesus, I want to pause from my busy schedule and spend time with You.  Since everything I have came from You, I owe you my time.  I want to choose that good part.  You have been so good to me and I want to show my gratitude to You!  Amen!
