“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15

Last week I learned of the passing of a dear sister-in-law, a great friend for many years. She has been in a nursing home but was very content there. The last time I saw her, I commented on how happy she was. She placed her hand over her heart and told me it was because of the Lord in her heart that she was at peace with her situation. I feel confident that she is now with the Lord, free from pain and at rest.

As we get older and we see friends and loved ones passing on to be with the Lord, it makes us more aware that our time is coming as well. We do not sorrow as others, because we know we will see them again. We do not know the day or the hour when the Lord will call us home, but we know that when the time comes, we are ready to go.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus, for the peace that you give us and for the hope that one day we will see our loved ones again, as we join them in eternity with You.
