So brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him, which is the spiritual way for you to worship. (Romans 12:1, NCV)
Have you ever tried to capture a moment on your phone camera only to get a message pop up informing you that you have run out of space? If this has not happened to you, you cannot fully understand the frustration. It’s in that moment that you realize it is time to go through your storage and start deleting the junk that has somehow managed to take up all the space without you really noticing.
Our lives are kind of like the storage on our phone. We manage to fill them up with things that don’t really matter, and suddenly when God wants to do a work in us we are not ready to receive it because we are already at capacity. Take some time today to think about what things you can let go of. Make sure God has sufficient space to fill you with dreams and the tools you need to accomplish them.
Prayer: Lord, you continuously show us love and support. Allow us to be open enough to receive what you have for us. In Jesus name, amen.
