“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;” John 14:16 For years I have used the same brand of laundry soap and was very happy with it. But recently it has been impossible to find it in the stores, so I have had to choose a different one. Companies close or discontinue manufacturing certain products. The same thing has happened with the facial tissues that I have used for years. This becomes frustrating for us as most of us want the brands we have always used. I am…

“And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.” Ruth 3:10-11 God’s law defined the responsibilities of the kinsman redeemer and that included that they marry a childless widow and that the children born would carry the dead husband’s name. How do you condense everything you know about God into one statement? Is it even possible? I think I might just tell them, “God loves you like no one else ever has!” That one simple statement of “God loves you”…

“And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:5-7 Reading the Bible through each year, I am sure I have read this passage…
