“Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will recieve all that he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:36 NLT)
When you encounter the inevitable challenges of life, you must never lose hope. If bitter disappointment comes your way – endure! While you are waiting for God’s plan to unfold – persevere! After you have done God’s will, patiently endure until God performs that which He has promised.
If you have failed to be patient; made mistakes under the strain of difficult days; or felt like giving up; remember God requires perseverance, not perfection. Determine today to recommit yourself to following God’s will in God’s time.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for being impatient about the fulfillment of the promises You have made to me. During the time inbetween, teach me how to patiently endure on this journey of faith. Your plans for my future are far greater than I could ever dream. So, I’ll wait, Lord, with the sweetest anticipation. Amen.
