“… For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48
We are all stewards of the varoius things God has entrusted to us: time, talents, finances, our bodies, our health, etc. And we each have different combinations of these things.
According to Luke 12:48, the more we are trusted with, the more is expected of us. God expects the millionaire to do more with his money than someone who is poor. And in different seasons of our lives, we have more free time than others – for example, after our children are grown. So we need to use that time wisely for God.
God watches to see how faithful we are in small things, before He trusts us with larger things. Let us all be profitable stewards of the gifts He has given us.
Prayer: Lord, help me to give back in proportion to what I have received. I want to be a profitable steward who brings glory to You.
