Promises

“Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.”

Joshua 21:45 NLT

The journey from their deliverance in Egypt to the Promised Land, was turbulent and often treacherous for the Israelites. Not so much in the physical sense, but more so spiritually.

They struggled at every turn with their faith and commitment to God. They questioned His promises and allowed themselves to become consumed with doubt. 

We still struggle with the very same issues today. We are easily distracted, our faith can waiver at the slightest hint of trouble and our emotions often fuel our decisions.

Even in spite of everything they went through, they still seen every single promise from God fulfilled. It was a roller coaster of highs and lows for them, defeat and victories, but God was so faithful.

He was merciful in every valley, and His loving kindness was always so evident. God loves you this way. He is faithful and true, and every single promise that He has spoken into your life WILL come to pass.

The path may be winding and confusing, but if you are in His will for your life, it is the safest and most beautiful place to be. Wait on Jesus today, don’t allow your emotions to cloud your vision, and look for His promises.

Jesus, I’m thankful that you are faithful to fulfil every promise you speak. You are good and merciful even though I struggle and sometimes doubt what you have spoken into my life. Help me to recall Your promises to me today.
