“He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.” Psalm 103:10 (New International Version).

We humans have trouble when it comes to payback. Over the years I remember altercations my children had and one of them would say, “They deserved it, they were mean to me.” God doesn’t think like we do and I’m so glad He doesn’t. His love graciously forgives and forgets when we ask His forgiveness.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for not keeping score on me. I don’t deserve Your forgiveness but I’m thankful for Your goodness and mercy to me.

“How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.” Psalm 36:7 (New International Version)

Love is a wonderful thing. To have someone love you with unfailing love is what God does for us. According to this Scripture, our status in life doesn’t matter for all can find refuge in Him. He doesn’t pick and choose who He loves, but He loves all of us the same. I need not worry about His love today or tomorrow for it will remain the same. How priceless is God’s unfailing love!

Prayer: Lord, You’ve never failed me and even better still is the knowledge that You never will!

Imagine you are a contestant in a cosmic game show. The host provides the answer. The contestant must provide the appropriate question to that answer.

Contestant: “I’ll take Biblical Answers for $200.”
Host: “The answer is…God.”
Contestant: The question is…“Who knows how many hairs I have on my head?”
Host: Correct!

Contestant: “Biblical Answers for $300.”
Host: “The answer is…God.”
Contestant: The question is…“Who knows when I’m going to die?”
Host: Correct!

“Two sparrows cost only a penny, but not even one of them can die without your Father knowing it. God even knows how many hairs are on your head. So don’t be afraid, you are worth much more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31, New Century Version)

Prayer: God, I’m glad I don’t have to worry because whatever my question, YOU are the answer!!

Ever feel like you’ve turned your back on Jesus? The disciples did. READ: Matthew 26:56 from the Holy Bible, King James Version: “Then all the disciples forsook Him (Jesus) and fled.”

The disciples were twelve men that were chosen by Jesus. They went with Him everywhere. They saw him heal people. They saw Him walk on water. Jesus knew the disciples would flee when the soldiers came for Him. He also knew they would recover and preach salvation to the whole world. He waited for them to realize how much they needed Him. How very much He loved them. How, willing He was to welcome them back with open arms of love.

It is the same for you. Jesus knows you’ve failed Him. He also knows you will succeed in Him again one day. He’s waiting to welcome you back with open arms of love.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to forgive myself as easily as You forgive me. Thanks for loving me, no matter what!

“Who doesn’t enjoy a good love story? As little girls, we enjoyed reading Cinderella, Snow White, and Little Women. Stories of escape, glamour, and beauty enchant females of all ages. We all dream of being loved and desired by that special someone.

Did you know that you are a part of the greatest love story ever told? Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, single or married – it does not matter. You are truly and deeply loved. There is Someone who desires you more than you can comprehend.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).”

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for giving the ultimate gift. You died so that we would not ever have to live without You.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you” (John 15:12).
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another” (I John 4:11).
“Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law” Romans 13:10).
The love of God is perfect, self-sacrificing, and pure. God loves the loveable as well as the unlovable. He loves us in spite of our imperfections. If we are to love each other as God loves us, we must also love without reservation, even when that individual is difficult to love. Love like God’s love is not mean-spirited and does not try to cause harm. It seeks only the good of the other person.
Prayer: Lord, help me today to respond with love toward all those I meet. Let my love be sacrificial, seeking the good of the other above my own personal desires. The more I give love to others, the more I increase my love for You. Thank You for letting me feel Your love in my life.

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (1 John 4:8 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible). A 92-year-old retired preacher was being honored by his congregation. They asked him to tell the congregation the greatest lesson he ever learned in his 50+ years of ministry. His response was, “The greatest lesson I ever learned in all my preaching years was that Jesus loves me.” He proceeded to sing the familiar children’s song, “Jesus Loves Me.” He sang the senior version of the song. The first verse went like this: Though my steps are oh, so slow, With my hand in His I’ll go. On through life, let come what may, He’ll be there to lead the way. What a great lesson for all of us to learn!

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for continuing to love me even as I am aging. Your love for me is a constant regardless of my inabilities. I am confident of Your love. I am blessed everyday that I live just to know that You love me unconditionally.
