As a young child, I still remember learning how to add and subtract. It was exciting for Mom to show me flashcards and to know the answer. Then I graduated to multiplication. “I am teaching you today – yes, you – so you will trust in the Lord.” (Proverbs 22:19 in the New Living Translation) Someone said, “In school you learn your lesson and then get tested. In life you get tested and then learn your lesson!” I couldn’t agree more. I failed a few tests in school, but I do want to learn the lessons that God sends my way.
