In recent months in our church at least, we have had many messages preached about how we needed to be close to the Lord so that we could stand strong when storms came. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. (Psalm 1:3, NIV) Psalm 1 says that those who walk with the Lord and meditate on His word day and night will prosper. The Psalm describes what the life of someone seeking the Lord should look like, and what will come from a life devoted to Him.  Daily meditation will lead us to a place where God can use us to do His work.
