“Serve the Lord with gladness:  come before his presence with singing!”  (Psalm 100:2 KJV) We were not drafted into His service.  Our service to the Lord is volunteer.  It is your privilege and duty to be happy in your religious worship. Restaurants and fast food places know the value of those who serve.  Businesses close daily because of the attitudes of their servers.  “Please” and “thank you” are still magic words even when you serve in the Kingdom of God. Serving God requires us to serve others.  God doesn’t need our acts of service, but those around us do.  Someone said…

Whatever our passion, it will cost. It comes at the expense of time and effort. The price may include great personal sacrifice, misunderstanding of motives, or even the friendship of those who think us radical. Yet the greater the passion, the less these things matter. For the Christian, our greatest passion should be God. It is the only way to serve Him. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment” (Matthew 22:37-38). Read more

The Holy Bible tells the story of 3 men who were sent to die in a fiery furnace because they served the One True Living God and everyone else served a statue. When all was said and done, they weren’t burned, they weren’t even singed!

READ: Daniel 3:25,27 in the Holy Bible, King James Version…

“He ( the king) answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God…And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.”

It’s the same today for each of us! If we will serve the One True Living God, even if no one else is, God will be with us in the fires of our lives. And when all is said and done, we won’t even have a smoky smell!

In the Fire – But not Affected
In the Fire – But Protected
In the Fire – No Smoke Detected

Prayer: God I want to serve you no matter what anyone else does! Protect me from the fires in my life.
