“Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:7 KJV) As a child, I remember playing Hide ‘n Seek. I am the oldest of eight and we played this game at least once a day. No iPads,…
“I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being” (Psalm 104:33, in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
Singing has always been a part of my life. My sister, Sue, and I harmonized together in church as little girls.
Singing is a mood changer. Go to a nursing home and start singing; feet will start patting and hands start clapping at the sound of music. When I am feeling down I turn on the radio or CD player and listen to songs that will lift my spirit.
When I discovered this verse, it gave me permission to sing to God as long as I live. He loves to hear my song.
Prayer: Lord, You have given me my voice and a good set of lungs so I can praise You in song every day of my life. I want the world to hear me praise Your Holy Name!
