Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. (Philippians 4:11-12, NLT)
The definition of the word content is to be please or satisfied and not needing more. Wouldn’t life we so much more fulfilling if we were always content with what he had or where God has brought us? Much of our time can end up being spent wanting more, and not being completely satisfied with where we are at. People who are grateful and content will live a happier life than those never really finding contentment. If you find yourself in this situation, take time to write down how God has blessed you. You will quickly find that you have much to be thankful for and it can change your whole perspective.
Prayer: Lord, teach us to be content with what we have, whether that be much or little. Give us a grateful heart today, Lord. In Jesus name, amen.
