And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Even on My menservants and maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy, Acts 2:17-18.

Acts 2:17-18 fulfill the prophecy that is Joel 2:28-29.

These scriptures explain that in the end time there will be a generation of young people who are going to rise up and speak what heaven is saying. God is going to use young men and women to herald the gospel. Every young person reading this devotion—you are born in this generation for a reason.

If God wanted the Apostle Paul to live in the 2024, then He would have appointed him to be alive in these last days. But, God did not appoint the apostle Paul to be alive in the 21st Century. He has appointed you to be a leader in this generation; a leader in your schools, a leader in your community, and a leader in your family. God is going to give you the level of anointing that you need to make an eternal impact in this world. This is the greatest generation we have ever known.

The Bible says the latter glory will be greater than the former (Haggai 2:9). It also says, where sin abounds, GRACE MUCH MORE ABOUNDS (Romans 5:20). Sin is running rampant in our world, but the grace of God is flowing through every street, in every school hallway, in every place of employment ready to minister to a sinner who is ready for a change.

It goes on to say the elders will dream dreams… the harvest is going to be so great that the young and old are going to be used… it is multigenerational—everyone needs to be involved and no one is exempt.

God spoke to me in prayer and said, “If this generation learns how to abide in my presence, then I will give you instructions to lead nations. Before you seek direction, seek instruction.” Oh, Lord, give us the steps we need to talk to get to the places You desire us to go. I commit to seeking Your will, and not my will.

There is going to be a revival among us. Jesus will restore His house again to be a house of prayer. Let us see a movement of God that is greater than any political movement and greater than any worldly agenda.

We are living in a dangerous place when we allow the influence of the world overrule the influence of a godly woman, friend, spouse, parent, etc. It is imperative that we teach our children doctrine and plant the word of God inside of their hearts. They need to understand what they believe and why.

History teaches what happens when a generation doesn’t teach the scripture to their children.

Judges 2:10 says, “… there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

My prayer is to make disciples and teach this generation the word of God. The prayers of an intercessor can get between someone and destruction. Our prayers can literally pull someone out of hell’s fire and we can stand in the gap for someone. We have an arsenal of weaponry when we evoke the name of Jesus and we have the authority to reach into the ether of the supernatural realm to pull out the promises found in the Word of God. Let us proclaim every promise in the word of God and speak the powerful name of Jesus.

Prayer: Lord, we pray that you would lift off all of the restraints off of us. We desire to experience end time revival. Use our children, our teenagers, our young and our old to fulfill the promises found in Joel 2:28-29, Acts 2:17-18, and every other scripture abounding with promise. Lead us into the places You have specifically designed for us. We desire to experience the latter rain in our homes, in our communities, and in our churches. Use us for Your glory, in Jesus name, amen.

  1. Thank you dear sister for this encouraging message today. I indeed see the younger generation rising up and going forth in my church! Young men and women, in their mid 20-30’s boldly proclaiming the Word on their jobs and by their actions men are being drawn to them asking “ who and how”. God bless you.
