Psalms 37:34

“Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed.”

I’m the type of person who is all or nothing. I’m either completely motivated or I’m not. Excited and filled with anticipation or plagued by dread. I really enjoy the highs of life, but get completely discouraged by the lows.

Do you struggle when seasons change in your life like I do? Sometimes life throws us curveballs and we need to either pick up the pace, or we may even need to slow down. The above scripture reminds us to travel steadily along his path. This doesn’t always mean at a one particular speed, but rather a consistent and diligent pace.

When life is moving fast, be disciplined in your bible reading and prayer time. When life requires you to slow down and rest, still remain motivated in time spent with God.

We can be so grounded in God that when life happens, we aren’t swayed and washed away with every wave that crashes into us. We can remain firm and unwavering in our faith and hope that He is God, and He still has all power.

No matter what life may throw your day today, travel steadily along the path that He has placed in front of you, and He will honor you by giving you the land!

Prayer: God, I ask today that you would help me to live a life that is disciplined and grounded in You and Your word. Help me to not be swayed by the changes of life, but rather to have You as my firm foundation.
