“For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what you did unto the kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.” (Joshua 2:10 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
The Children of Israel were ecstatic to be out of Pharaoh’s sight. It was a day of victory for them. But, before too many hours had passed, they were facing the Red Sea which had to be frightening.
To add to their terror, when they looked behind them Pharaoh and his army were following them. You talk about going from out of the frying pan into the fire!
Life is filled ups and downs. Valleys and victories.
What did the Israelites do? They kept walking and the sea became dry land.
That’s what we must do. Keep walking by faith and victory will follow you.
They also shared the stories of what God had done and how He delivered them. Keep those stories of victory alive. Our kids need to hear them!
Prayer: God, You know exactly where I am at today. You promised to keep us and I know that I can count on You. You’ve never failed me and You never will. Amen.
