“For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth” Psalm 71:5

Thinking today about a song that I haven’t heard in years, “Whispering Hope.” The first verse reads:

“Soft as the voice of an angel breathing a lesson unheard
Hope with a gentle persuasion whispers a comforting word
Wait till the darkness is over wait till the tempest is done
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow after the darkness is gone.”

So thankful that no matter what storms or trials come in our life, we have hope in Jesus Christ. We can rest assured that He is in control, and that He has a plan either to deliver us from the storm or give us the strength and courage we need to go through it. It is so easy for us to get frustrated and question what is happening, but if we just rest in Him, everything will work out for our good.

Hebrews 6:19 says, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast. Our hope is in Jesus, and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for the hope we have in you, that you are always there working all things for our good.
