I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. (Psalm 9:1, Holy Bible, New King James Version)

Bible scholars say King David offered this psalm to God after the death of his and Bathsheba’s son. At a time when some might question God or be angry because of circumstances, David praised with his whole heart. He went further saying he would share God’s marvelous works with others.

He didn’t question why his child wasn’t healed. He didn’t blame God. He decided that circumstances would not affect his trust in God. Can you say the same?

Prayer: Lord, I question You when things don’t go smooth. Help me to follow King David’s example and praise You with my whole heart. Amen.
