“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked”
My husband is accident prone. He has shot himself in the leg with an air-nailer, torn off toenails and has had countless other accidents in the 8 years we have been married. It’s never a surprise when he comes home from work and tells me that he cut himself… again.
This scripture tells us that no matter how many times we stumble or fall, we will get back up again. My husband doesn’t stay down for the count every time he injures himself, but rather he heals and keeps on going.
We will make mistakes, we will fail in our relationship with God, and we will struggle but we WILL get back up again.
Have you ever seen those blow-up punching bags with the weights in the bottom? When you punch them, they bounce right back up again! That is how I see us women of God, when life throws a curveball and knocks us off our feet – we heal, and get back up again.
He is a God who restores and He is a God of countless second chances. Find your strength in Him today and get back up again!
Lord I am thankful that when I am weak, you make me strong. Help strengthen my resolve and give me the wisdom I need to keep moving forward in my relationship with You.
