“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
From the beginning of time, God’s Word was there. When God made the planets, the stars, the trees, etc., all He did was speak the word and it happened. Think of how incredible that is! All God had to do was say, “Earth” and it was formed. There wasn’t anything magical about it. God spoke and it happened!
While Jesus was on earth, He did many miracles by speaking the word and it happened. One day, Jesus and the disciples were out in a boat when a storm arose. The disciples became very afraid and woke Jesus because they feared they would all perish. Jesus asked them the question, “Where is your faith?” They had forgotten who was in the boat with them – the Peace Speaker. He made the storm and He could calm it.
When we go through a storm in our life, we need to remember the Peace Speaker. God only needs to speak the word and the storm will calm. God’s Word is the same as it was in the beginning of time. God never changes. He is always the same. Let God speak His Word into your life today!
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for Your Word that never changes. Speak peace and calm to the storms in my life today. Amen!
