“And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Rev. 19:9
On May 19 most of the world’s attention was focused on the Storybook Wedding taking place in England as Prince Harry married Megan Markle from America. It was a privilege and an honour to watch the beautiful ceremony and share in their special day by way of the Internet. It must have been exciting for all of those who were invited to attend this special day.
Revelation tells us about a wedding that will be far more spectacular and important, when Jesus appears in the clouds to take His bride home to be with Him and the great marriage supper celebration takes place. This is one wedding that everyone has been issued an invitation to, but it is up to each one of us to make the necessary steps to be able to attend. Jesus said, “whosoever will may come.” Rev. 19:7 says that the bride has made herself ready.
The dresses and hats of the ladies attending the Royal wedding were beautiful, and colourful. Jesus has provided for us a white robe of righteousness, and as we yield our lives to Him and walk in the way that He has shown, we can be sure of attending the great marriage supper of the Lamb. What a day that will be, and how we look forward to it with anticipation!
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for the great invitation you have extended to us, help us to be ready to share that great day with you.
